The aim of the 100 Days Project is simple: creativity.
The project challenges you to pick a creative outlet and commit to create – every day for 100 days, within whatever framework or medium you choose.
For 2024, I wanted to keep it small and manageable, amongst all the other projects that I'm working on, so I bought 100 blank pulp beer mats and I'm sketching, drawing or painting one each day, inspired by where I am or what I happen to be doing on that day.
Some are ‘urban sketches’ on site, but not all are. My only rule is no second attempts or do-overs, so that I don't get too hung up on what's ‘good enough’ to share or be part of the project when it ends.
All 100 beer mats will be on display (and for sale) as part of my upcoming exhibition ‘Liz Reid INK’ at Cass Art in Glasgow.
