2025 was a busy year for me – after putting in the grind on the 100 Days project and my ‘Greetings from Glasgow’ September solo show, in November I took part in the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival at Glasgow Street Aid, to support their fantastic volunteer medical crews working through the night on the frontlines of Glasgow City Centre, and also took part as an invited guest artist in Parade Artists Christmas Market.
Then in December I showed work in the Art Department's ‘Art Deco’ exhibition in Paisley as well as in Firefly Gallery's Christmas show in Bo’ness. On top of which I helped organise events for the Glasgow Urban Sketchers group and had the honour of producing commission pieces of some lovely homes and the most beautiful tenement garden.
2026 is shaping up to be another active year: lots of sketching events coming up, the Accord art show at the Art Department in April, their ‘Urban Sketch’ exhibition in May, where I'll be leading a couple of workshops, and the Paisley Art Institute annual show at Glasgow Art Club in April/May too. Then of course it will be the Big Art Show in Paisley again in August, so lots of opportunities to show new work.
And for lovers of a good breakfast or brunch and a damn fine coffee, there’s always new work appearing on the wall at Tibo Bistro on Duke Street. Thanks as always to Usman, Angus, Douglas and all the staff there for the bacon rolls and continuing support.
